Test Fit

Before taking the frame to powder coating, we test fit the new engine, transmission and headers to see what adjustments are needed.

Engine and transmission temporarily mounted to the frame

It is immediately clear that some adjustments to the frame are required.

The original engine mount crossmember needs to be replaced as the driver side is touching the oil pan.

The transmission crossmember needs to move to center the transmission mount.
A new crossmember from Offroad Design clears the oil pan and gets the engine seated in a good position.

With these adjustments, the engine, transmission and headers all fit well with the body.

The original transfer case shifter will not work, however, so we will need to find an aftermarket solution.
